I have a special history with India and so have I

I have a special history with India and so have I with America. My grandparents both left their motherlands and landed in the port of New York. They met there and built their destiny among millions of other people. My mother was born in NY, in a multi ethnic, racial and spiritual background. She and my grandmother used to bring me as a child on Sundays to Harlem and to listen to the gospels during services given by the Black community. There was no difference about who sang or who spoke. When it comes to love which colour of skin prevails? America is a place where all these guiding, contrasting forces, faiths and diversity of people are co living together. In these testing times today, United States of America should not forget its real power : they can be uniting people of America.
